Rates

• $125 per night (minimum 3 nights), plus a $70 cleaning fee.*

• $787.50 per week (7 nights–10% off), plus a $70 cleaning fee.*

*We are required by law to collect Island County sales tax of 8.7% and lodging tax of 2% on the total for each booking.

Policies

The Writer’s Refuge is a place where writers and other creatives can escape the distractions of everyday life and devote themselves fully to their work. This means single occupancy and the deliberate absence of amenities such as a television and DVD player. It also means the presence of supportive technologies such as Wi-Fi and a printer.

• The accommodations at the Writer’s Refuge are not available to the general public.
• Because creativity requires solitude, we do not offer double occupancy.
• We do not allow smoking.

We do not allow guests to bring pets. There are pets on the property. Cora (a Maremma livestock guardian), Jake (an English setter), Maggie (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) and chickens live on the property and can sometimes pose a challenge for visiting dogs. Jake and Maggie are fenced in an area around our home but Cora works the grounds. You will see her walking by the cabin on her security rounds. She is friendly and very sweet. If you don’t like dogs, please take into account that Cora will be roaming the property.
Emma (Maremma who is pictured above) passed last year. We also lost Lucy,our sweet English setter. They were both beloved by many guests.
